K. Marsh-Wetherell
Principal
Ms. Barbara
K. Marsh-Wetherell (commonly known as "BMW") brings the experience
of over 20 years in the high tech industry providing hands-on marketing
and PR services. BMW founded Marsh-Wetherell Market Relations (MWMR)
in September 1989 to provide marketing programs and expertise in
public relations, advertising, product acquisitions and launches,
web design, market development and trade events to a wide variety
of hardware and software manufacturers, e-commerce and high technology
service organizations in local, domestic and global markets.
Known for its
highly effective, innovative and "guerrilla" marketing and public
relations programs, Marsh-Wetherell Market Relations has had a hand
in the success of many companies. BMW's client list is a veritable
"Who's Who" for Silicon Valley including Baltic Media Group, Ltd.
(UK), Borland, CompUSA PC, Frame Technology, Nortel Networks (Xros
Division), the Optical Internetworking Forum, SUN Microsystems (TOPS
Division), PeakXV Networks, the Port of Oakland, SynchroNet Marine
Inc., Micronics Corporation/Orchid Technology, MPLS Forum, RasterOps
Corporation, Smart Modular Technologies and WordStar International
Inc.
Marsh-Wetherell
Market Relations also offers pro-bono strategic marketing and public
relations service to the Contra Costa Children's Chorus; a non-profit
children's chorus of 400 children ages 7- 17.
BMW was a Managing
Partner of JumpStart Partners from 2001 to 2003, a public relations,
strategic marketing and creative services organization which mirrored
the services offered by Marsh-Wetherell Market Relations.
Prior to founding
Marsh-Wetherell Market Relations, BMW held executive and senior
marketing and sales management positions at ViewStar Corporation,
WordTech Systems Inc. (Borland), Video Seven Inc. and Mouse Systems
Corporation. BMW has been a speaker at high technology user's conferences,
publication editor's days (PC Magazine, Windows Magazine) and on
cable television, and has published articles on effective advertising
and public relations. She sat on Board of Directors of the Mt. Diablo
Technology Association, a non-profit technology user's group in
the San Francisco East Bay, and is a Charter Sponsor of the Women's
Business Network of Oakland, CA. BMW has a BA degree from the University
of California, Berkeley.
